As we begin a new school year, we’re excited to share some of the innovative ways Bridges of Hope is expanding our reach and deepening our impact for students who are grieving. Here’s a look at what’s new:

1. Expanded High School Curriculum

We’ve officially launched a second high school curriculum, giving returning students a fresh opportunity to engage in new content. With this addition, we now offer six age-specific grief support curricula, ensuring meaningful and developmentally appropriate experiences for every age group.

2. New Programming for Early Learners

After piloting a child development-focused curriculum last year, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our very first K4/K5 (CD-K) program. In partnership with Mary Ford Early Learning Center, we spent the summer refining this curriculum to honor the unique needs of our littlest grievers. This age group thrives with movement-based learning and simplified activities—but they’re also ready to begin exploring and expressing their grief in healthy ways.

3. Our First Virtual Program

We’re also stepping into new territory with our first virtual grief support program—a pilot partnership with The Heron Institute / Cyber Academy of South Carolina. This initiative will help us meet the needs of students in nontraditional learning environments and extend our reach statewide.

4. More Support for Schools

We’re committed to strengthening our relationships with school partners. This year, you’ll begin to see new tools like a school-based newsletter, training modules for educators, and expanded in-person grief training opportunities. We want to equip schools with everything they need to support grieving students effectively.
