DESCRIPTION:November is Children’s Grief Awareness Month\, a time to recognize the importance of supporting children who have experienced the death of someone significant in their lives. At Bridges of Hope\, we invite your school to participate in a special Lunch-Time Luminary Event\, giving students the opportunity to honor loved ones and reflect in a safe\, supportive space. \nDuring this event\, students will: \n\nDecorate a luminary bag using provided materials\nLight a candle inside the bag as a tribute to someone they’ve lost\nExperience connection and reflection with classmates\n\nWe provide everything you need: \n\nWhite luminary bags\nTea lights (battery-operated for safety)\nColoring utensils\nA volunteer facilitator to support students during lunch\n\nThis activity can be offered to all students\, whether your school has a Sand Dollar Club or not.
