After a loved one dies there could still remain a lot of unfinished business alongside the grief one feels when this happens. Grief can be debilitating and overwhelm someone.
If you know someone who has lost a loved one, do not ask them “What can I do for you?” rather show up for them in little ways and just be there, even if you don’t know what to say, your presence in their life is important.
We at Bridges for End-of-Life have grief programs specifically aimed at working with Elementary and Middle School-aged youth. While our tangible support is not all-encompassing, we want to recommend some resources to help you through this time.
